Alex is starting to getting into this whole “solid food thing”…..

Cute! Let me rush and assure you that the facial expressions does not reflect the quality of the food! Mummy’s homemade yummies are really yummy!….. Can’t really say that Alex have a favorite yet, although he has progressed a bit since this little movie was shot….. Luckily!

It is quite fun to see the work that Kaelyn is doing in nursery and we do have a little collection of (invaluable) art work gathering up for us to enjoy in years to come….

This is the latest master piece. No title, but with nice and strong colours.

More art pictures to follow!

Today we got the Xmas decs out and tomorrow it is back to work and back to the routine….

Alex started 2010 with the arrival of his first tooth! Kaelyn started the new year with realizing that her birthday is coming up very soon! We are well and truly blessed by having these little two munchkins!

Those very same munchkins are also (probably) the reason why we didn’t get to see even one of “The 50 Biggest Movies of 2009″ (according to The Times) on the big silver screen. That said, we did get to see “Angels and Demons” last week since the DVD was in my Xmas stocking…. If there is one New Year resolution; it is to get to the movies more frequently in 2010!

Happy New Year to all from the munchkins and the deprived parents!

We have been eating masses and masses of snacks, lots of turkey, our fair share of brussel sprouts plus some more snacks…

We have opened so many presents that we can’t count them (+ we opened some of mummy’s and daddy’s presents too).

We have been well behaved and less well behaved, but we figure that Santa has not started tracking our behavior yet for next Xmas…

We have been playing games with all our pressies and tried on all our new clothes (at the same time!) and we have eaten some of the chocolate that Grand-dad got for Xmas!

Last, but not least; Merry Xmas and thank you for all the pressies!

Today was our very first organized performance with Kaelyn… We have had many of them in the past at home, but this was in front of a “crowd” and together with all her nursery friends.

5 songs + dressed up as snowmen/ladies + collecting pressies from santa + being on best behaviour…. No wonder Amelie and Kaelyn is looking for trouble at the end of it…

Great experience and all captured on tape to be used for years to come as entertainment….!

This is really the first Xmas were Kaelyn goes into it with expectations and a Xmas wish for Santa…. And it is fantastic to see her excitement for all things Xmassy!

This morning we went out and bought the Xmas tree and then we decorated it…. She was mesmerized by the lights and she helped with the baubles and she got to finish the job by putting the star on. Exciting stuff (both for the 3 year old and the 41 year old)!

For weeks she has been telling us that Santa will be bringing her a scooter with lights! Santa better deliver, or he will have to deal with a disappointed little girl (and the rest of the family)… The other day we had our shopping delivered and when the door bell rang, Kaelyn jumped up and shouted “It is Santa bringing my scooter”! Bless!

Ho-Ho-Ho! 12 days to go!

Just about 2 1/2 month since our last update… Don’t know what happened with time, but somewhere between sleepless nights and sneezes and coughs it must have slipped by!

We are all well. Alex is now 4 months and 2 days old. Kaelyn is 3 in a month. Jane and I are planning our next trip to the cinema (probably sometime in 2015)…

The other day in the car (going to the shop) a little voice came from the back seat: “are we almost there yet?”… Our little girl is growing up fast!

Xmas-plans are progressing. Santa has been informed about Kaelyn’s wishes (scooter), decorations have been replenished and the tree will be purchased next weekend. This Xmas we will also have Jane’s dad and nieces staying with us, so it will be busy house.

Ho-ho-ho…. almost there!

7 weeks on and we are settling in and trying to find that oh so important routine! Still a bit hectic and unplanned, but we make up for it in enjoyment! Although sometimes it can be hard to find enjoyment when the little monkies plan their sleep patterns to not match, or when both want attention NOW, or when nappies have to be changed one after the other…. But still, very enjoyable if you just take it as it comes!….

We are all doing well (more or less). Kaelyn had a proper little fall down the stairs the other day (as we were stressing to get in the car and go to Newbury), no permanent damage! Then she had a proper little bump as we were shopping the other day. Decent amount of blood, but she was very brave. She does how ever remind us about her sore knee every so often…. Alex have had a bit of a cold the last few days. Not easy to figure out the breathing bit when your nose is blocked and you are only 6-7 weeks old…. Bless!

As for Mum and Dad… Bit tired, but still going strong!

Kaelyn is a great big sister! She often asks to hold Alex and likes to go and have a look when he is having a sleep/rest in his little bed. Also ensures that he always have his little teddy….

with the arrival of the last one, life seems to be turned on its head… to answer the questions; yes, alex is home…. yes, we are all well…. yes, kaelyn is a proud big sister…. yes, he needs a feed every couple of hours…. no, the two do not co-operate and give the (proud) parents time off at the same time…. yes, we do love it!

more soon! when energy returns….
