Masa el-kheir or good evening as we would say in this part of the world… Just back from our 2 week holiday in Egypt. We stayed at Radisson Blu Resort in Taba. 2 weeks straight with 40 + degrees everyday. If there was a breeze, then it was more of a hair dryer feeling than a cooling effect! Perfect weather to stay in the pool all day, and that is pretty much what we did!

Alex and Kaelyn had a great time. Alex spent a lot of time in the pool, and Kaelyn spent even more time in it!

Flight to/from Egypt went well. Going down they were both very curious about the experience. Coming back they both slept most of the way.

We are now starting to plan the next holiday(s). Might have a short journey to Norway in early December, followed by a “sunny holiday” in June-time next year. In between now and then how ever, real life with a move to a new resort and a new home…..

It is important to wash off the sun cream and the clorine after a long day in the pool. Here Kaelyn is the great big sister and offers Alex a helping hand to get rid of it all!

These days we have to do things a certain way. How we have to do it (it can be anything from how we brush the floor to how we make chocolate milk) depends on Her Royal Highness, the Princess!…. Some proper personality traits coming out these days, although in the midst of it, it doesn’t necessarily feel like traits (or proper)….

Googles is her latest purchase. To be used during swimming classes, bath time or (alternatively) when ever HRH feels like it…. Looks snassy though!

Alex is also starting to learn about the advantages of having a (very) experienced (3 year old) big sister! All sorts of food and scraps is going his way, doesn’t matter if the dad/mum wants it to go that way. In exchange for the cheerios, bread, cookies, chocolate (what ever it may be), all he has to endure is some slight torture in the form of pinching (lovingly), crushing (lovingly) or smacking (lovingly). All of those are very acceptable to the little dude who just about can’t get enough of the big sis….

How about the mum & dad? All fine (but a tad sleep deprived)!

Alex is getting close to 9 months old and Kaelyn is getting older (and wiser it seems) every day too. Sibling love blossoms, and Alex thinks big sister is the bestest thing in the world. Kaelyn probably think her little brother is her little playmate and brings toys and shares snacks and pinches (a little bit) when she feels like it.

Been a mild spring so far and this have given us the opportunity to venture out quite a bit at weekends and during Easter.

Kaelyn is now doing three 1/2-days in nursery every week, and Alex is getting a taste of the creche once a week too for a couple of hours…..

Oops, and all of a sudden we are at the end of March and Easter is just around the corner…. Seems like yesterday that we were opening Xmas pressies and welcoming the new year! The last couple of months have been filled with colds and coughs, work and play, fun and laughter (and tears to, but nothing serious I hasten to add).

Alex is well and truly into his solid foods, and lets us know it (loud and clear) if he feels he doesn’t get his fair share of it (all volume related).

Kaelyn is trying every boundary there is and is trying to stretch all the rules there are….

Mum and Dad, well we are surviving! And looking forward to spring arriving…..

Alex is starting to getting into this whole “solid food thing”…..

Cute! Let me rush and assure you that the facial expressions does not reflect the quality of the food! Mummy’s homemade yummies are really yummy!….. Can’t really say that Alex have a favorite yet, although he has progressed a bit since this little movie was shot….. Luckily!

It is quite fun to see the work that Kaelyn is doing in nursery and we do have a little collection of (invaluable) art work gathering up for us to enjoy in years to come….

This is the latest master piece. No title, but with nice and strong colours.

More art pictures to follow!

Today we got the Xmas decs out and tomorrow it is back to work and back to the routine….

Alex started 2010 with the arrival of his first tooth! Kaelyn started the new year with realizing that her birthday is coming up very soon! We are well and truly blessed by having these little two munchkins!

Those very same munchkins are also (probably) the reason why we didn’t get to see even one of “The 50 Biggest Movies of 2009″ (according to The Times) on the big silver screen. That said, we did get to see “Angels and Demons” last week since the DVD was in my Xmas stocking…. If there is one New Year resolution; it is to get to the movies more frequently in 2010!

Happy New Year to all from the munchkins and the deprived parents!
